Try applying “insanely great” as a standard on a daily basis and see how far you get. He set a high bar for seemingly everything, and anything that didn’t meet his standards was summarily rejected. The late Steve Jobs was only inspired by “insanely great” things.This is a hard model: you never feel you are doing enough, and a sense of malcontent hovers over you. It’s like marathons or triathlons, which are 99% training and 1% racing. Doing everything we can to the best of our abilities.
